Close the Cheshunt Asylum Hotel

Lewis in Parliament

I have consistently demanded the closure of the Marriot Hotel to asylum seekers since it was opened, and I fully support Broxbourne Council's decision to explore fresh legal action to close the asylum hotel in Cheshunt.

Since my election, I have repeatedly called on the Government to honour its manifesto commitment to close all asylum hotels, and I will continue to do everything I can in Parliament to secure the closure of this hotel and return it to our community. I have also spoken out against the use of HMOs to house asylum seekers and will do all I can to fight against this too.
