Lewis at Waltham Cross job centre

Helping more local people to secure good jobs where they live is one of my key priorities as MP for Broxbourne.

Today in the House of Commons I asked the Minister for Employment about what steps her Department is taking to increase the support available in job centres in the Broxbourne constituency.

I also proposed that the Government do more to ensure job centres connect unemployed people with local small businesses in their area. This would bring all-round benefits for everyone in our community.

I'm pleased the Government agreed with me on this, and I will continue to do all I can to help our local economy thrive.
