Lewis and the Minister

Flooding is a huge concern for people in Stanstead Abbotts and across Broxbourne.

Last week, I visited Stanstead Abbotts to see the poorly maintained drains for myself, and the risk they pose to nearby houses. Thanks to Parish Councillor Julia Witting for showing me around and sharing the views of residents.

Back in Parliament, I secured a meeting with the Minister for Flooding at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to demand improvements at the Environment Agency and a better approach to prevention.
